What is a chemical peel?

A chemical peel, also known as chemexfoliation or derma peeling, uses a chemical solution to improve the appearance of your skin. In this treatment, a chemical solution is applied to your skin, which causes trauma or injury to your skin’s layers. The skin layers eventually peel off revealing more youthful skin. The new skin is usually smoother with fewer lines and wrinkles, has a more even color and is brighter in complexion.

What Type of Peeling Should I expect?

The strength of the prescription peel will be determined in collaboration with your clinician to based on your desired results and skin history. For some peeling and flaking will be extensive revealing healthy, fresh skin; while other may have no flaking but reveal glowing skin.

The Glow Peel is a multipurpose resurfacing treatment that combines the powers of salicylic acid (7%), lactic acid (7%), resorcinol (7%), soy amino acids, and yeast-derived oligopeptide to improve the signs of aging and hyperpigmentation with less downtime. We typically suggest this treatment to people who want to address issues like hyperpigmentation, fine lines, exfoliation, and overall rejuvenation. Ideal for low downtime results.

The Power Glow contains the same ingredients as the Glow Peel, but at more potent quantities—14% salicylic acid, 14% lactic acid, and 14% resorcinol. The Power Glow Peel is able to tackle a range of skin concerns including fine lines, large pores, problems with texture and pigmentation, and sun damage. It’s the perfect peel for patients looking to restore their skin’s natural brightness and glow.

Patients can expect more visible exfoliation post treatment.
