 IPL photorejuvenation is a safe Health Canada approved light-based therapy that improves the overall condition of your skin. IPL increases collagen production naturally, decreases redness and broken capillaries, lightens pigmentation and melasma, and treats, acne, acne scars and rosacea. 

 IPL is recommended for men or women of any age who suffer from aging skin, sun spots, rosacea, hyperpigmentation, melasma, enlarged pores, acne, acne scares, or broken capillaries 

 The Intense Pulsed Light is attracted to the browns, reds, and deeper collagen tissues. The heat generated from the light targets and vaporizes the browns, coagulates the reds, and heats the deeper collagen tissues. The body’s healing mechanisms then takes over and sloughs off the browns, absorbs the reds, and thickens the collagen fibres. 

Typically patients require 3 treatments to ensure adequate improvement of concerns. Treatments are required every 4-6 weeks initially. 

 IPL treatments are designed to provide no down time. Your face may appear flushed for a few hours but usually your skin will look more radiant. Clients with pigment may notice their brown spots may appear darker after the treatment. This darkness may take on a “dirty look” until it flakes off in 7- 10 days. A client may develop “purpura” or a bruise on the face. This will fade in about 10 days and may be covered by mineral makeup. It may be impossible to remove skin conditions forever, however, if the skin condition diminishes or disappears for a long period of time, it will most likely respond to treatments in the future with positive results
